Welcome to the Southern California Society for
Surgery of the Hand website. The SCSSH was
established as a formal society in 1992 under
the guidance of Roy A. Meals M.D. Myles J. Cohen
M.D. and Norman P. Zemel M.D. It replaced
the LA Hand club. A more complete history of the
society can be found on the history link.
The SCSSH consists of approximately 60 members
across the Southern California region,
encompassing Los Angeles county, Orange county,
Ventura county, Riverside county and San
Bernardino county. The SCSSH holds quarterly
meetings for presentations by outside speakers
or journal club review. Information on
membership can be found by following the link to
the Bylaws page.
The SCSSH is in the final stages of planning a
scientific program for the
Hand surgery Update
which is to be held at UC Irvine on November 23,
2007. Further information on this can be found
through the link to the program.
Thank you for visiting our website.
